Trees for the World
Scouts of China (Taiwan) has organized countrywide tree planting event in March, involving 2200 Scouts from 12 Scout councils in Taiwan that planted 20,000 trees. A rover crew also organized their own tree planting event in an offshore island.
Around 100 to 700 Scouts participated from each council -- a 275% growth from last year of 800 Scouts.
The programme is under the World Scout Environment Programme and Messenger of Peace to promote actions of Scouts in taking care of the environment.
