v1.0 – 30 September 2013

This “Cookie Policy” forms an integral part of the “General Terms & Conditions of Use”, to be consulted here. All definitions and conditions provided therein are also applicable in this Cookie Policy.

Cookies

The Site uses browser cookies (hereinafter: "Cookies") in order to simplify the use of this Site and to obtain information that can help us to improve the Materials made available through the Site. Cookies are small text files, often including unique identifiers, that are sent by web servers to web browsers and stored in directories designed for that purpose on the user’s computer, and which may afterwards be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies can be used by web servers to identity and track Users as they navigate different pages on a website, and to identify Users returning to a website. Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.

The Site uses both persistent and session Cookies. The Cookies used are meant to recognise Users when revisiting the Site, some of their surfing preferences, their origin or traffic source and to keep certain traffic statistics. The following Cookies may be sent to your web browser: - Cookies from the Site: authenticated login, use of Javascript, choice of language, country of origin, browser and interface settings - Uservoice Cookies: session ID, timezone, analytics, tracking of logged in state, information update check, reminder for keeping you logged in - Google Analytics Cookies: users and sessions, new sessions/visits, interoperability with urchin.js, traffic source of the user, custom variable data

Consent

Upon the User’s first visit to the Site, he/she will be asked to agree with the use of Cookies by means of a pop-up window. The User’s consent or refusal may be changed at a later stage. The User may do so by changing the cookie preferences in the web browser first. Thereafter, the User will be presented with the consent pop-up window upon his/her next visit to the Site.

Cookie settings

The User may freely decide whether or not the Site’s web server is allowed to save Cookies on his/her computer. For that purpose, the User may set the browser settings so that they do not allow Cookies to be accepted or saved at any time. Most web browsers may be set to show a warning message every time before accepting Cookies or to only accept Cookies from certain websites. Cookies that have already been saved before, may also be deleted at any time. For technical instructions on how to handle Cookies, please consult the settings and preferences page or tab of the web browser. Declining, blocking, deleting or otherwise disabling Cookies on the Site may have a negative impact on the full experience of the Site as some functions on the Site may be limited or unavailable. As a result, to make it easier to use the Site, accepting Cookies on the Site is recommended.
