MoP Team Pakistan Gathering Phase II

Continuing the work of strengthening the local Messenger of Peace (MoP) network and training them how to effectively implement the MoP across the country, Pakistan Boy Scout Association (PBSA) is holding the MoP Team Pakistan Gathering Phase II in Islamabad from 20-24 May 2017.

Sr. Dy. Chief Commissioner Hafiz Tariq Mahmood was the chief guest at the opening ceremony who welcomed 50 participants representing 10 branches of PBSA and three Scout Leaders from Afghanistan Scouts.

Participants visited Islamabad College for Boys where they conducted the MoP Road Show which was actively participated by over 200 young Scouts.

Regional Director J. Rizal C. Pangilinan addressed the gathering conveying his congratulation to PBSA and all the participants for the invitation. He, together with PBSA National Secretary Zahid Mahboob, some senior local leaders, and S Prassanna Shrivastava paid a courtesy call to Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Boy Scout Association, who assured of his support to PBSA and to look into capacity building which will translate into Scouting growth.

Overseas resource speakers were Asia-Pacific Support Centre Director S Prassanna Shrivastava, Unit Manager Uzair Kamal, Scout Leader from the Boy Scouts of Philippines Bernando De Leon and another one from Afghanistan Scouts Mr. Tamim Hamkar supporting PBSA National Secretary MoP Coordinator Zahid Mahboob being the Gathering Director.
