Host Organizing Committee gears up for the 24th regional conference preparations

The 24th APR Scout Conference Organization Committee (COC) held its 5th Preparatory Meeting at the National Headquarters in Dhaka on 14th October 2012. The COC Chairman and Vice President of Bangladesh Scouts Mr Habibul Alam welcomed the members of 19 sub-committees and 4 coordinators.

The highlight of the meeting was the progress of all sub-committees from the last preparatory meeting. World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Region Regional Director Mr Abdullah Rasheed and APR Director Mr Syd Castillo appreciated the effort in wanting to make the conference and the two auxiliary events well-organized.

On 13th October, the team made an ocular visit to BRAC CDM, Youth Forum venue; Mouchak Training Centre, Course for Leader Trainers venue and the regional conference venue which is the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka. The Organizing Committee found the meeting rooms and facilities very satisfactory.

Bangladesh Scouts President and 24th APRSC Steering Committee Chairman Mr. Md. Abdul Karim, together with the key leaders of Bangladesh Scouts were all present.
