Thai Scouts to join Ticket to Life

Ticket to Life in Thailand is expected to run within this year 2017, making the National Scout Organization of Thailand (NSOT) the seventh country to offer education to street children through Scouting.

The Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement held a meeting with the leaders of NSOT to introduce the Ticket to Life in Thailand.  NSOT plans to tap the Phrakanong Metropolitan Police Station as a coordinating agency and partner of the project.

Regional Director JR Pangilinan spearheaded the meeting with Dr. Somboon Bunyasiri, Mr. Ut  Sangjit and Mr. Settanun Ungkulpasvich, all representing the National Scout Organization of Thailand, with the support of Arjay Cameros, Assistant for Youth Programme/APR.

TTL is a flagship project implemented by APR in six countries, I.e. Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, and Philippines. This project currently has 33 troops and 895 Scouts between 6 and 16-year-old who are supported by eight National Coordinators, 28 Unit Leaders, and 17 Assistant Unit Leaders.
