Operation Kirara gives lifetime opportunity to Scouts

Through a solidarity fund "Operation Kirara," 101 Scouts and leaders from 18 countries in the Asia-Pacific Region got the chance to set foot on the biggest camp and did not miss the experience of being part of the 23rd World Scout Jamboree, in Yamaguchi, Japan.

The goal of the sponsorship is to promote international understanding and friendship and to enrich participants’ Scouting experience through sharing of information and experience with other Scouts.

In this sponsorship, the Asia-Pacific Regional Office of the World Scout Bureau collborates with Scout Association of Japan giving this once in a lifetime opportunity to Scouts and leaders from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and even to potential member countries like Afghanistan, Myanmar, Timor Leste and Vietnam.
