Leaders Meet advocates Scout Shop development

Twelve Scout leaders from Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Philippines and Scouts of China, participated in the first ever APR Scout Shop Management: Leaders Meet on 5-8 March 2015 at Yangmingshan Scout Camp, Taipei, Taiwan. Several members of APR Finance Sub Committee served as facilitators of the meeting.
The Leaders Meet advocates and supports National Scout Organizations in building or strengthening their Scout shop. Participants considered the Scout Shop as essential that NSOs can provide to its members by ensuring the availability of Scout uniforms and other merchandise.
Scouts of China International Commissioner Dr. Ie-Bin Lian was the Meet Director who presided over the opening ceremony. APR Scout Committee Chairman Dr. Chao, Shou-Po graced the meeting and welcomed all the participants. He mentioned that 5th March was also the Scouts’ Day in Taiwan and a group of Scouts visited President Ma, who is the President of Scout Association. Regional Director Mr. J. Rizal C. Pangilinan thanked Scouts of China and the APR Finance Sub Committee who made the Meet possible. APR Finance Sub Committee Chairman Mr Joseph Lau welcomed the participants at the opening ceremony.
Discussion evolved around operation of Scout Shop national level and sharing of experiences; Introduction of Scout Brand; Trend on Internet Marketing; Quality Management; and Introduction to APR Scout Shop Supply Chain followed by group discussion. An educational tour was arranged on Saturday afternoon to Scouts of China Scout Shop, as a benchmarking learning experience.
