JOTA-JOTI 2011 Contest winner reveal
After several days of suspense we finally have the results of the JOTA JOTI logo competition in which almost 120 scouts from all over the world partipated. The theme for this year's event is "Peace, Environment and Natural Disasters" and the proposed designs reflected this theme.
The jury was composed of two world JOTA coordinators, two world JOTI coordinators, the Director of Marketing and External Relations, Graphic Designer and Webmaster of the World Scout Bureau. Each juror had 10 points to distribute to one or more participants based on the following criteria: composition, creativity, technique, visual appeal and overall impression. The jury deliberated and awarded the following points:
16 Points to Felipe Trejo Malpica from Octavio group in Jalisco / Mexico who won the contest.
Felipe wins a Wenger Swiss Army Knife and 30 JOTA-JOTI badges, which he can distribute.
Ranked second by the jury with 12 points, was Djordje Milic from Nis, Serbia who wins a JOTA-JOTI polo shirt.
In third place was Mohamed Saddam Amin from Kuantan, Malaysia with 8 points. He wins a Internet Scouting T-shirt.
Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to all participants who demonstrated great imagination and incredible technical mastery.
Certificates of participation will be sent to all participants. The deadline for requesting for your certificate is 31st May, 2011.
The 2011 JOTA JOTI logo in high resolution will be downloadable in the coming days on scout.org/jota and scout.org/joti.
