3 tips for the JOTA-JOTI campsite
JOTA-JOTI is the the biggest annual Scouting event, with millions of Scouts and Guides participating in different ways from over 150 countries! It stands for the Jamboree On The Air - Jamboree On The Internet, meaning it’s basically a giant worldwide Scout camp happening on the internet and radio waves. 2. Live vs Ongoing Events
On the campsite, you’ll find a variety of different events, like sessions with guests, live shows, games, activities to try offline, and more. Some of them are ongoing, meaning these are activities you can try on your own (or with your Scout Group) at any time, and others are scheduled for a specific date and time, meaning a live facilitator will join by video to host the event.
When you click a campsite section, select “Activities” and you’ll see the list of ongoing events at the top, followed by upcoming live events sorted by date and time. Note: The times you’ll see will be listed in your local time.
We suggest you prioritize the live activities you’re most excited about and then add ongoing events to fill time in between those sessions. Some of the ongoing events include instructions for offline activities you can try at home or with your Scout Group!
Did you miss a live event? Don’t worry - you can catch replays of all live sessions within 6-12 hours of them happening. Keep in mind that we aim for a variety of sessions throughout different time zones.
