Scouts Active Citizenship - Join the SafeYouth@Work Project

2 minutes

Did you know that every day, some 6,400 people die from occupational accidents or diseases and 860,000 people are injured on the job? Of those, young workers suffer the highest rate of injury due to a lack of awareness of safety rules and rights, training and experience.

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) launched the SafeYouth@Work project that aims to promote the occupational safety and health of young workers, with a focus on those aged 15 to 24. Learn more at ilo.org and help be a part of the change.

Do you have some creative ideas to help raise awareness? ILO SafeYouth@Work Media Competition may be an opportunity for you. Watch this video link and have a chance to be part of XXI World Congress on Safety and Health at Work to be held in Singapore!
