Indian Ocean Ushers in its first Zonal Scout Youth Advisors

13 December 2019, Seychelles: A pioneer team of four Youth Advisors for Indian Ocean Zone has been elected as the 1st Indian Ocean Scout Youth Forum came to a close today in Seychelles. This is a culmination of two-days of discussions that have been focused on how to strengthen the Scout movement in the Indian Ocean zone. The team elected on a three-year mandate comprises of the following:

 

  1. Tahirinomena Ysmael - Madagascar (Chairperson)
  2. Jonathan Law - Mauritius (Vice Chairperson)
  3. Anchoura Ridhioni - Comoros (Secretary)
  4. Julio Lucas - Seychelles

 

The elections came after the participants deliberated and agreed upon a number of recommendations that the new team will present to the 8th Indian Ocean Scout Conference from 16-17 December 2020. The closure of the forum ushers in the Zonal Communications Workshop which kicks off tomorrow.
