It is with sadness that we have learned the death of Dr. Emmanuel Gasakure, a former Chairperson of the Board of Rwanda Scout Association who was also actively involved in Scouting until 2008. He was instrumental in the Association, especially during the reconciliation period following the 1994 genocide. He also played a key role in the hosting of the 13th Africa Scout Conference that took place in Kigali in 2007 and was very supportive of the leadership team of Rwanda Scout Association.

He passed on on 25 February 2015.

May his soul rest in peace and May God comfort the family he has left behind and the entire Rwanda Scout fraternity!

C’est avec tristesse que nous avons appris la nouvelle de la mort du Dr. Emmanuel Gasakure, ancien Président du Bureau du Conseil National de l’Association des Scouts du Rwanda, qui était actif dans le Scoutisme juqu’en 2008. Il était instrumental pour l’association, en particulier pendant la période de réconciliation, après le génocide de 1994. Il avait aussi joué un rôle clé dans l’organisation de la 13e Conférence Africaine qui a eu lieu à Kigali en 2007.

Il est mort le 25 février 2015.

Que son âme repose en paix et que Dieu réconforte la famille qu’il a laissée et toute la fraternité scoute du Rwanda !
