Africa Regional Office Welcomes a New Staff
Mr. Nelson Ochieng Opany is our new Communications and Public Relations Officer. He replaces Mr. Amos Ndegwa who left us last month
Nelson joins us from Environmental Research Mapping and Information Systems in Africa where he worked since 2011 in the Climate Action Programme for Schools and Youth in various capacities including as Project Officer and Communications Assistant. He was also with us for 5 months (September 2013 - January 2014) as an Interim Partnership Officer.
His main task as ARO Communications and Public Relations Officer is to help us better tell the stories of Scouting in Africa, its achievements and impact. This includes continuation of the publication of Kudumail - our regional e-newsletter, updating of our website and social media pages, as well as exploration of other avenues to reach out to our constituencies and current and potentials partners.
He will be reaching out to you in one way or the other to get your stories. Thank you in advance for any support that you can extend to facilitate his job.
