Mongolia welcomes Scouts from around the world for its third International Jamboree

More than 1,000 Scouts, volunteers, and International Service Team members gathered in Khentii Province for the Scout Association of Mongolia’s Third International Jamboree, a week-long programme of adventure, leadership, and intercultural learning.

The event welcomed Scouts from all 21 provinces and the nine districts of Ulaanbaatar, alongside international contingents from Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, USA, and Taiwan.

Held in eastern Mongolia, Khentii Province provided a fitting backdrop for the camp and gave visiting Scouts a chance to experience Mongolia’s history, landscapes, and living nomadic traditions beyond the campsite.

The programme combined outdoor challenges with leadership development, skills-building, and international exchange. 

Through workshops, cultural showcases, and team activities, Scouts strengthened collaboration, built resilience, and developed practical skills while gaining a greater appreciation of different cultures and the natural environment.

The Jamboree also highlighted Scouting as a platform for meaningful international engagement. 

Bringing together young people from different countries created opportunities to exchange ideas, share traditions, and build relationships grounded in mutual respect.

As the Third International Jamboree concluded, many returned home with more than memories of camp life. 

They left with new friendships, a deeper understanding of Mongolia’s cultural heritage, and shared experiences that will continue to shape their Scouting journeys long after the camp had ended.
