Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for the 2025-2028 European Scout Committee appointed

Diana Slabu, Romania, has been selected as the Chairperson of the European Scout Committee for the 2025-2028 Triennium alongside José Pamplona, Portugal, who will serve as the Committee’s Vice-Chairperson. 

The Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons were appointed by the six newly elected members of the European Scout Committee during the third day of the 25th European Scout Conference, currently taking place in Vienna, Austria. 

The European Scout Committee serves as the elected leadership of the European Scout Region, one of five regions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The European Scout Committee will be, among other things, responsible for the implementation of the Conference decisions that will take place on the last day of the Conference, 23 July 2025.

The six members of the European Scout Committee, elected by the Conference and listed alphabetically by last name, are:

  • Allan Simpson, United Kingdom
  • Diana Slabu, Romania
  • Joschka Hench, Germany
  • José Pamplona, Portugal
  • Marta Concepción Mederos, Spain
  • Vojtech Fiser Olbrecht, Czechia

Their term of office will officially begin at the close of the 25th European Scout Conference and will continue through to the conclusion of the 26th European Scout Conference in 2028.
