World Scouting Launches COVID-19 Emergency Fund

2 minutes

The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) launched today an Emergency Response Fund to COVID-19 to support volunteers worldwide in the response to the pandemic.

Millions of Scout volunteers are actively supporting the response to fight COVID-19 by helping the authorities and early responders; launching awareness campaigns and initiatives to support young people, with a special focus on mental health.

This Emergency Response Fund to COVID-19 will provide financial support for Scouts to deliver COVID-19 response projects where all funds donated will be channeled directly to support National Scout Organizations. While delivering the projects, Scouts are fully adhering to the local health guidelines and are supporting the local and national healthcare systems.

The global health crisis is showing that the need for structured volunteering is more needed than ever. The Scout Movement is mobilizing all efforts in leading a global youth response to help the world counter the pandemic.

The ‘Purple Team’ is working around the clock to steer this response. Lend your support to the Scout Movement’s emergency response during this time of solidarity.
