With persistence and belief in her idea, Nancy secured a small piece of land at the school and began working with pupils with diverse disabilities, including cerebral palsy and physical impairments.
With its launch in The Gambia, Ticket to Life now reaches 13 countries across the Africa Scout Region and supports over 9,000 young people. The initiative continues to expand opportunities for inclusion, empowerment, and development through Scouting.
By delivering the training in Kiswahili and fostering peer learning, participants not only learned but also lived the experience.
