Towards achieving scouting mission, vision and goals, the Arab Scout committee for strategic planning meeting has been held from the 28th of January till the 1st of February at the Arab scout support center.

During his welcome message, the Director of the Arab Scout Region Dr. Atef Abdul Majeed presented his recognitions and appreciation to the Committee members for their continuous efforts to enhance the strategic planning field and highlighted their important and effective role in reviewing and evaluating the triennial strategic plan and completing its alignment with the Global Strategic Plan.

Furthermore, he shared some reflections on the importance of moving towards modern strategies in a manner that achieves the efficiency and effectiveness of the Arab scouting work.

Hel also mentioned the need to work on raising performance and measurement indicators to achieve our goals with extra miles.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Essam Al-Filali, Dr. Hamid Kanaan Vice-President, leader Nazih Fayyad Committee Rapporteur, leader Jihad Abu Znaid committee member and Dr. Tahir Al-Fadni committee member.

The Committee has discussed the meeting agenda, which included the study of the draft proposal of the Scout Movement development strategy 2021-2023 that has been submitted by the Arab scout Support Center and the Arab Scout Organization, which will be enriched during the Scout Technical Summit that will be held in March 2019 with the aim of being approved by the 29th Arab Scout Conference in Sharm El Sheikh.
