Gone Home: Former Asia-Pacific Regional Director Kim Kyu Young

The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) today mourns the demise of a dear friend and Scout, Kim Kyu Young, former Regional Director of the World Scout Bureau Asia-Pacific Region.
A Bronze Wolf holder, Kim dedicated two decades of his life as a driving force in the growth and development of the Movement, serving as the Secretary General of the Korea Scout Association (1982-1991), and thereafter as the Asia-Pacific Regional Director (1990-2002).
“He will be fondly remembered as a passionate, caring and effective leader, always ready to guide and lend a helping hand, and having a great compassion for young people,” said WOSM Secretary General, Scott Teare.
To the special people in his life, our sincerest condolences and prayers.
May our dear brother Scout rest in peace
