FESCO: Three months after the AGM

KINSHASA - Hot on the heels of 4th AGM at national level, FESCO (Fédération des Scouts de la R.D. Congo) is an organization on the move. The national team continues to implement the resolutions of the aforementioned AGM.

At a glance, as far as progress is concerned one can note the following:

  • A report on the AGM and on the election of the Chief Commissioner and the chairperson of the national council was crafted. The resolutions of the AGM were shared with all provincial associations.
  • The guidelines for holding provincial conferences were sent to all the provinces. Some provinces have already organized elections. These include: Eastern Kasaï, Katanga, Eastern Province and North Kivu.
  • The 2009 action plan was developed.

The following activities, among many others, were carried out:

  • Launching of the “Scout year”;
  • Setting up of the national executive office;
  • Opening of a bank account.
