User Generated Content
User Generated Content contain information and views of the User and may not necessarily reflect the official opinion of WOSM. Although the World Scout Bureau and all partners involved in the construction and maintenance of this Site are hosting providers and may not be held liable for any content that is placed on the Site or its Applications by individual User, we do monitor User Generated Content and will take appropriate actions to address violations, illegal acts, or misconduct. Hosting providers, as intermediaries on the Internet, provide an infrastructure that enables operators of websites and applications to store and process content and make it publicly available to third parties. Users are responsible for content that he/she post, upload or makes accessible to other Users and third parties using the hosting services. As hosting providers, it may not be possible for us to be aware of all the content being posted, uploaded or made available by Users. Therefore, you play an important role to inform us of any objectionable content appearing on the Site.

We want to provide a safe and friendly environment for you to share and communicate within the Scout network. We have worked out a three-tiered procedure, aiming at blocking content that violates the Code of Conduct, infringes intellectual property rights, breaks the law or may generally be considered as harmful for the integrity of an individual, the Site or society (“Bad Content”).
The Site and its Applications use the following three-tier system:
- automated obscenity filter
- peer control
- notice and takedown

How Bad Content is detected:
In the event that content is placed by a User on the Site or its Applications, such content is automatically screened by an automated filter. If the filter is triggered for any reason, the content will automatically be blocked. If you have reason to believe that the content should not be blocked, please send an e-mail to digital@scout.org explaining why the content should not be blocked.

Peer control:
In the event that content is identified by a User as Bad Content, such User may flag the Bad Content by using the “Flag” button. Once the Bad Content has been flagged the World Scout Bureau will take appropriate action to ensure that the matter is dealt with.

Notice and takedown:
Users may also choose to notify us of Bad Content placed on the Site. Notifications may be done by sending an e-mail to digital@scout.org. Such notification should contain the following information:
(a) name and address of the sender;
(b) explanation of why the sender is particularly affected;
(c) URL of the Bad Content;
(d) precise description of the alleged content; and
(e) reason why the content should be removed.

If we deem the content to be Bad Content, the content will be removed.
At all three stages, the World Scout Bureau reserves the right to take all measures it deems appropriate, including but not limited to:
- permanently deleting the content
- restoring the content
- blocking one or more Users
- reporting the content to the appropriate authorities

Intellectual Property Rights
You agree to respect the intellectual property rights and personal rights of others and refrain from posting content on the Site or its Applications in violation of such intellectual property rights. You hereby guarantee that you have the rights or proper authorization to publish and reproduce the content that you post on the Site or its Applications.

You also own intellectual property rights on the content that you have created as an original author. You specifically grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content that you post on or in connection with the Site or its Application. You also give a limited, royalty-free, non-commercial license to other Users to consult, reproduce and republish your content and make derivative works thereof for purely non-commercial purposes.

When you delete content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. However, you understand that removed content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not be available to others). Hence, you are advised to notify us to ensure such content is removed from the servers.

Translations
All Users are invited to translate certain aspects of the Site in their own language. Translations provided by you are done on a voluntary basis. Such translating is not remunerated in any way and implies a full transfer of rights on the translations to the World Scout Bureau, as defined above.
