APR Management meeting goes paperless

2 minutes

This year’s two-day management meeting of key volunteers and professionals of WOSM Asia-Pacific Region goes paperless to help reduce carbon footprint. With this initiative of using e-paper and based on Carbon Foot Print calculator, approximately 11 kg of paper, 72 kg of CO2 emission (greenhouse gases), 300 gallons of water and 25 kg of solid waste are saved. This simple initiative is seen as a benchmark for meetings or events on different levels of Scouting.

Regional Scout Committee Chairman Paul Parkinson presided the meeting on operational matters and challenges affecting the region, with the attendance of former Regional Chairman Jejomar C Binay.
