An Extended Executive Director Meeting is taking place in Kandersteg from 16 to 21 May 2011. 58 Executives of the World Scout Bureau Central Office and it's six Regional Offices are meeting in the wonderful setting of the Kandersteg International Scout Centre to discuss the upcoming work that will be done during the coming year and triennium.

The Secretary General, two Executive Directors from the Central Office, as well as the six Regional Directors are attending to discuss the new structure of the central office and the tasks of the elected World Scout Committee, as discussed during its meeting in March 2011. The big areas of work will be centered around Strategic Path, Youth for Change, 21st Century Leadership and Global Support.

During the first two days, the various teams (Educational Methods, Communications & External Relations and Finance team) have had the opportunity to meet face to face to also discuss their specific priorities for the coming year and beyond and agree on the various ways of working together.

The World Scouting staff is also taking this opportunity to further plan their participation in helping deliver the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, which will be taking place from 27th July to 7th August 2011 in Sweden.

Kandersteg International Scout Centre offers a wonderful Scout environment for the hosting of the various meetings, group discussions and team exercises that are part of these working sessions.
