Messengers of Peace
Since 2010, Messengers of Peace has empowered millions of Scouts to take action in their local communities and beyond, fostering a global culture of peace and positive change. This flagship initiative enables young people to lead projects that promote lasting tolerance, understanding, and sustainable development. With over 16 million projects completed and counting, Scouts continue to create meaningful impact worldwide.
With funding from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Scouts are working with local communities, key organisations, and strategic global partners to build a culture of dialogue for mutual understanding. Every project — from small actions to large-scale community initiatives — brings us closer to achieving our shared vision of a more peaceful and sustainable future, equipping young people with the skills to make a difference and be ready for life.

Messengers of Peace empowers Scouts around the world to create positive change, directly supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. Through service projects that promote community service, leadership, and safeguarding, Scouts are tackling some of the biggest global challenges facing our world today. Whether it’s leading peace-building activities, advocating for gender equality, or supporting refugees, Messengers of Peace inspires young people to be active citizens and agents of positive change.

Do you know a young person who excels in leadership, community service, and global citizenship? Nominate a Scout aged 16 to 26 who has taken meaningful action in the areas of peace, environment and sustainability, health and well-being, and life skills.

Inspiring change
Ready to create a more peaceful world? World Scouting provides educational offerings on peace-building, diversity and inclusion, cultural heritage, and civic engagement, equipping young people with the skills to promote peace and unity, organise community action, and more! Take on the Dialogue for Peace Challenge to become an advocate for mutual understanding or learn more about different cultures, religions, traditions around the world through the Patrimonito Challenge.
Support for members
Messengers of Peace strengthens Scouting at the national level, providing targeted support to National Scout Organisations. Through centralised funding, National Scout Organizations can access resources to expand their impact, enhance capacity, and drive sustainable initiatives.
