Asia-Pacific annual management meeting begins
A team of dedicated volunteers and professionals has begun their three-day Asia-Pacific Regional Management Meeting from 25th to 27th August 2011 in Makati City, Philippines. The management meeting is a regular annual event held at the regional office to review the region's last year performance and challenges and how it should strategize to work firmly on its priorities for the coming year.
Mr Paul Ho (Hong Kong), who was just appointed on 1st August this year as the new Regional Treasurer, attended the management meeting for the first time. In his remarks, he shared the process on how he accepted the post and expressed that he looks forward working with the regional team and shares his experience including a 10-year service as Treasurer for the Hong Kong Scout Association.
Other participants of the meeting are World Scout Bureau Executive Director Mr Jim Sharp, Management Sub-Committee Chairman Mr Janaprith Fernando, the Asia-Pacific executives headed by Regional Director Abdullah Rasheed and Financial Resources Sub Committee Chairman Sonny KIM SeungSu, who will be joining at the last day, in time for the discussion on financial matters.
