A magical Summer 2018 at the World Scout Centre

3 minutos

Since 95 years Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) welcomes thousands of Scouts at the Permanent Mini Jamboree to enable Scouts to spend an adventure of their lifetime at their international home of Scouting in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

With the lasts Scouts groups for this busy Summer season departing, we want to look back to a magical Summer.
Over 10 000 Scouts from over 50 countries were creating the Magic of KISC in the Summer months June, July and August.

But what does creating this KISC Magic actually mean?

Creating the Magic means:

> 38 Rovers living their true Rover Adventure during the International Rover Week - Centenary Edition
> seeing 377 Scouts learn about the power of Solar energy in one of our Eco Programme
> 1410Scouts celebrating August 1st together and parading together into the village, showing the local town the power of Scouting
> seeing over 2800 Scouts in the official KISC 2018 Scarf
> eating over 4800 Muesli bars during the adventures of each day
> 10334 Guests staying at KISC throughout the Summer
> Thousands of new friendships made
> but most importantly - taking home endless memories for a lifetime of KISC

Soon the fire of friendship spreads from one to another, and bonds are tied which will last a lifetime, and everyone on returning home is the richer for memories and dreams of Kandersteg.
