World Scout Committee member Eric Khoo Heng Pheng also graced the event as it was the first time for PPM to host this event.

About 420 Scouts came at the International Youth Center, equipped with their own personal computers and get connected with Scouts from the region and other parts of the world through internet. Everybody was excited as they communicated with Scouts from other countries and shared their passion on Scouting. King Scouts badge were given to 125 recipients.

Subsequently, in Hulu Selangor, some 60km away, 210 Scouts witnessed the sub-launching of the Air Jamboree attended by Regional Scout Committee Vice-Chairman Dr Mukhyuddin bin Sarwani with Tuan Haji Zakran Abdul Manan who was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee. Chairman of the Public Relation Committee of the PPM council, Mr Ismail bin Ramli officiated this sub-launching through radio and transmitted the officiating words that were heard by all participating stations across the region. He said hosting the event was a great honor for Malaysia and at the same time it was a great experience.

During the 27th APR Scout Jamboree in Suncheon City, Korea, a soft launch of this regional air/internet jamboree was held in the morning of 7th August at the APR Centre, where young people gathered and had fun talking to Scouts from other parts of the world.
