Hong Kong to host the 29th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference in 2028
The Scout Association of Hong Kong has been selected to host the 29th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference in 2028. Under the theme of “One Region, One Spirit: Harmony in Diversity and Ready for Life”, this next edition of the Conference promises to “unite cities and nature, diversity and unity in one vibrant metropolis”.
Hong Kong has a long history of hosting large Scouting events, including Regional Scout Conferences in 1978 and 1998, as well as the first-ever World Scout Education Congress in 2013. Each of these events showcased Hong Kong’s commitment to Scouting’s mission, and its ability to bring together Scouts from around the world.

The Asia-Pacific Scout Conference serves as the governing body of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Held every three years, it brings together NSOs from across the Region to set priorities, review policies and standards, and shape the direction of the movement’s future in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Beyond its formal role, the Conference also provides a unique space to collaborate and exchange, strengthening regional unity and promoting the values of active citizenship and youth leadership.
Held alongside the Conference are several related events, including the Asia-Pacific Youth Forum, where young Scouts develop leadership skills and actively participate in decision-making processes.
