Zonal Eastern Africa Scout Activities

The events offer young people an opportunity to experience great fun and friendship with peers from other countries, jointly take part in learning activities and explore a new country. 

The adults, on the other hand, meet to discuss the progress of Scouting in the zone and plan for further growth and development of the movement within the sub-region. The Zonal Eastern Africa Education Camp serves as a platform for the national Scout champions to showcase their skills and competencies at the zonal arena. The Scouts are assessed on different elements of the Youth Programme, topical issues and engage in activities that build their capacities and knowledge on issues such as Sustainable Development Goals. In line with the priority of promoting diversity and inclusion, the competitions also have patrols of Scouts with hearing impairment.

The number of Participants expected to attend normally ranges between 5000 and 10,000.
