General information

The WOSM European Agora 2026 is an event run “for Rovers, by Rovers” that uses the Scout Method to reach the educational objectives for the Rover age section. This event examines important and relevant issues for younger generations today.

Dates and Venue

The Agora 2026 will take place at Mario Mazza Villa Buri Scout Base in Verona, the city of love, from April 15 to 19, 2026. Accommodation and meals will be arranged at the venue from lunch on April 15 until lunch on April 19. Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms with other participants.

Arrivals are expected in the morning on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and departures are expected after lunch on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

The event entry point will be Verona Porta Nuova train station. From there, participants will receive assistance to reach the venue by public transport. Participants are strongly encouraged to use more sustainable modes of transportation for their travels, such as trains and buses, or to opt for direct flights in case of air travel.

Once participants are confirmed, they will receive an information letter containing more details on travel and arrivals.

Participants’ profile  

The Agora 2026 is open to Rovers (age 16-24 by the time of the event) from the European Scout Region. An interest in peace education is recommended. Participants are not expected to serve in specific roles before or after the event. However, before the event, they are expected to gather knowledge around the Rover programme and Rover peace education programmes/best practices in their NSO/NSA, to be able to share with other participants. 

Language  

The working language of the Agora 2026 will be English to facilitate all exchanges among participants. Being able to communicate in that language effectively is essential to participating.  

Participation Fee 

The participation fee is set at 100 EUR. This will cover accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, the programme, and venue facilities.

Thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, all participants will be able to benefit from this reduced participation fee, as well as travel support up to 160 EUR
