International Leadership Training brings together youth from across the Arab Region
Young Scouts from across the Arab Region came together for the 3rd edition of the International Leadership Training (ILT), a flagship programme designed to empower young Scouts with essential leadership skills, strengthen their self-awareness, and help them take an active role within their communities.
Held from 6 to 15 December 2025 in Wadi El Natrun, Egypt, around 30 participants from 14 countries attended sessions and workshops covering a range of topics, including personal leadership and self-discovery, communication and team collaboration, project management and community impact. The programme also provided opportunities to explore Scouting’s values and servant leadership, and engage with other young leaders from different countries.
The ILT, a key World Scouting leadership development programme, is often described as more than a training course.
Over the course of a week, the programme provides a platform for young people aged 18 to 26 to discover their potential, develop new skills, and connect with peers who share the same passion for creating positive change. With a strong emphasis on creating a safe environment, the programme also offers a supportive environment where young people can learn from one another and form meaningful connections.
This latest edition was no exception. It brought together participants from across the Arab Region, each motivated to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the growth of Scouting. Through the ILT, their experiences, reflections, and teamwork will form the foundation of a shared learning journey.
The ILT was made possible with support from Alwaleed Philanthropies, via the World Scout Foundation, enabling young people to develop as responsible leaders and enact positive social change across the Arab Region.
