Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for the 2025-2028 Africa Scout Committee appointed

Franck Ramanarivo from  Madagascar has been selected as the Chairperson of the Africa Scout Committee for the 2025–2028 Triennium, alongside Leonilde Antonieta Tavares Lima from Cape Verde, who will serve as the Committee’s Vice-Chairperson.

The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson were appointed by the members of the Africa Scout Committee during the third day of the 19th Africa Scout Conference, in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

The Africa Scout Committee serves as the elected leadership of the Africa Scout Region, one of five regions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The Committee will be responsible, among other duties, for implementing the Conference decisions

The Africa Scout Committee is composed of nine voting members: four newly elected at the 19th Africa Scout Conference in Madagascar, four continuing from the previous triennium, and the recently elected Chair of the Youth Advisors to the Africa Scout Committee, chosen at the just-concluded 10th Africa Scout Youth Forum. The mandate of the newly elected members will commence at the close of the 19th Africa Scout Conference and run until the conclusion of the 20th Africa Scout Conference in 2028.
