Special Olympicas signs agreement with Scouts of Venezuela

Within the framework of the alliance signed between the Interamerican Scout Region and Special Olympics Latin America on September 27, 2016, to offer more opportunities for growth and development of skills to children and adults with and without intellectual disabilities, Scouts of Venezuela signed an agreement to offer sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities; as well as non-formal education, complementary to family and school, which seeks the integral development and permanent education of young people. Joining efforts for the benefit of people with and without intellectual disabilities in Venezuela and sharing the learning opportunity within the proposal of both Movements, promoting inclusion and acceptance in society.

On April 26, 2022, an alliance was signed to promote and develop joint actions that support the execution of activities in favor of people with and without intellectual disabilities at the national level in Venezuela, to create opportunities in all areas of sport, of learning, development and inclusion and acceptance of diversity.
