Getting to Kandersteg

Once you arrive in Switzerland the easiest way to get to Kandersteg is by train which will take about 3 hours from the major airports. The trains are very regular and high quality. You will find that train company staff generally speak good English and French. We suggest you buy your ticket before you travel. They will be there to help you so introduce yourself and do not hesitate to ask them for help or advice.

When you arrive at Kandersteg station our friends at KISC will try to be there to meet you. They are easy to spot as they wear bright pink! If they are not there you can either catch the bus - which is free if you wear your Scout scarf – or you can walk. Walking takes about 25 minutes.
