Linda Rainbow's internship with the WSB to be extended

Linda Rainbow from Vancouver, Canada, joined the World Scout Bureau (WSB) Global Support Centre, Kuala Lumpur, as the Intern for Governance and Institutional Support in February 2016.
During her time in Kuala Lumpur, Linda contributed heavily to the work of the WSB. Under her leadership, she compiled, indexed and digitalised all English and French versions of the World Scout Conference Resolutions dating back to 1920, which is a huge undertaking and accomplishment in itself.
She was a key contributor to the ongoing upgrading of the scout.org intranet section’s functionality. Additionally, she contributed to the review of the institutional decision-making processes for the World Scout Conference. Last but not least, her experience as a certified first responder naturally gained her the opportunity to assist the WSB in the assessment, planning and improvement of its workplace health and safety.
Given her successful track record, Linda’s internship has been extended for an additional 6 months starting mid-September 2016. She will lend her support to the ongoing projects on Social Impact and Global Support as well as preparations for the 41st World Scout Conference and 13th World Scout Youth Forum.
Here are a few words from Linda about her experience at the WSB so far:
“I am so thankful for this opportunity to extend my internship with the WSB to support my favourite global organisation! Upon my arrival to the WSB in February, I felt very welcomed by everyone; the Scouting family is wonderful! This internship has been a fabulous way to share my experiences and perspectives, as well as learn many new things as I take on more tasks and responsibilities. A great opportunity for me has been to connect with other international Non-Governmental Organisations as well as several National Scout Organizations which have assisted me in my study of WOSM's decision-making process. I know that my time with the WSB will have a huge positive impact on my future endeavours. I am excited to see what the next 6 months will bring!”
