Cambodia Scouts: Be prepared for any eventuality
Cambodia Scouts, aiming for safe and responsible Scouting, is having their National Risk Management Workshop in Phnom Penh from 18 to 22 July 2016.
With 45 participants from 25 provinces and local councils, most of them are Scout Leaders who are training to Be Prepared - for any eventuality using the principle of mitigating critical situations by having appropriate counter measures or plan for any untoward incident.
The workshop started with the objective of formulating their own national risk management policy in accordance to the World Scout Conference Resolution with focus on “Safe from Harm” and the United Nations Policy on Child Protection.
The workshop was made possible through the joint partnership of Cambodia Scouts, the Office of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Education and the World Scout Bureau Asia-Pacific Support Centre.
Sharing of knowledge and ideas are also being delivered by Resource Persons from Malaysia, Jamal Harim Abdullah, and Philip Gregory Harrison of Scouts Australia.
