WSSEE participants go solar at workshop in Kaprálův mlýn

A Scouts Go Solar Workshop was organised on 22 May at the Kaprálův mlýn SCENES Centre, Czech Republic, right after the recently concluded World Scout Seminar on Environmental Education. The workshop highlighted the importance of renewable energy and demonstrated how Scouts can use solar energy in their Scouting activities to minimise the consumption of non-renewable energy.
It was facilitated by Asif Mahmood, Global Solar Badge Coordinator from Greenpeace Southeast Asia, Stefanie Luginbühl Alassane, Project Leader from Solafrica and Uzair Kamal, WOSM Development Support Manager. During the workshop, participants tried their hand at activities such as solar cooking, solar heating, solar cockroach race and solar quiz.
