In Memory of a Dear Friend – Dr. Azrul Azwar of Gerakan Pramuka:

Like many, I was shocked to hear that my dear friend Dr. Azrul had passed away. For ten years, this gentle man of such compassion for young people served as Chairman of the Scout Association of Indonesia.

There are few men that I have met that reach the highest standards of leadership and vision accomplished by Dr. Azrul.
To say I was in shock with the sad news is surely an understatement, as we were just recently together in Jakarta.
To his family and the Scouts of Indonesia, I want all to know that this man will always remain in my heart as a leader, mentor and friend.

Few in Scouting will hold the high level of respect and honor I have for our dearly departed Dr. Azrul Azwar.
