An innovative partnership between The Scout Association (UK) and the nationwide Bright Sparks Project has resulted in a record number of contributions from across the United Kingdom and saw a Scout Leader from Sutton Coldfield win this nationwide talent competition.

The first Bright Sparks Project was run in partnership with the UK Scout Association. Half a million members were invited to submit a video entry of a performance which showcased their ability as singers, musicians, dancers, as members of a choir, choreographers, stylists, directors, producers, video editors etc. The winning Bright Sparks were then chosen by a panel of music industry judges from the top half of the leader board and were awarded the chance to collaborate with established artists and celebrated music industry professionals in creating the first Bright Sparks album for release this autumn.

The first single from the album is Let It Out and performed by Bright Sparks 2013 winner Kayleigh Ann Walters of Sutton Coldfield Scouts and Handsworth Scout and Guide GangShow. Emma Taylor of Rossendale Scouts directed the music video.

The album is now available to Scout Groups and charities to help them raise funds for themselves or local causes.
