Central European Jamboree 2026
In the summer of 2026, Scouts from across Central Europe and beyond will gather in the hills above Budapest for a week of adventure, friendship, and shared experience. The Central European Jamboree 2026 invites you to step into a vibrant camp where cultures converge, challenges inspire, and memories are created together.
Set in the Sztrilich Pál Scout Centre in Nagykovácsi, the jamboree offers the perfect balance of nature, tradition, and modern program elements. Forested surroundings, open camp spaces, and a close proximity to Budapest create a unique environment for discovery, both within the camp and beyond.
Who is the Jamboree for?
CEJ2026 is open to Scouts and volunteers from many countries, each playing an essential role in shaping the event.
- Participants are Scouts aged 14–18 who will experience the full program as members of a patrol.
- Patrol Leaders are aged 18 or above and lead a patrol of nine participants through the week’s activities.
- International Service Team (IST) members are aged 18 or above and support the jamboree by helping operate programs, services, and camp infrastructure.
The experience
Each day at CEJ2026 is designed to challenge, inspire, and connect.
Participants will explore Budapest and the Hungarian countryside through off-site programs focused on sports, culture, and local experiences. One special offsite day is dedicated to water-based activities, offering both adventure and refreshment during the summer heat.
Sports programs draw inspiration from the Olympic spirit, featuring multiple disciplines, team competitions, and opportunities to test skills, teamwork, and determination. Creative workshops invite participants to try new techniques, learn from one another, and collaborate on creating something meaningful together.
Evenings bring the camp to life. Traditional folk dances from different nations turn movement into shared language. The Hungarian Food House offers a taste of iconic local dishes and flavours. Live music concerts and campfire-style evenings create powerful shared moments, followed by parties filled with national nights, dancing, singing, and celebration.
For those seeking something different, the camp “Plaza” offers optional programs, relaxed spaces, and activities that allow participants to choose their own rhythm and atmosphere.
