Scouting taught me how to be a good leader

“Leaders need to stick by their people… The best team I’ve ever been on were made of people who genuinely cared for each other and would always help each other out no matter the situation,” said US Mayor Rick Gray.

Rick joined Scouting as a Cub 65 years ago. Till today, he still practises the values and life skills that were imparted to him. In fact, they helped him to serve others throughout his career as a defence attorney and now, as a mayor.

He was recently honoured with the distinguished citizen award which recognises community members for their positive impact on local communities.
