Scouts share Scouting’s Impact at UNESCO’s Conference on Youth Volunteering and Dialogue
A seven-member Scout delegation is currently representing the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) at the 2nd International Conference on Youth Volunteering and Dialogue in Paris, France.
Focusing on preventing violent extremism and strengthening social inclusion, the conference covers areas around youth volunteering: youth engagement through social media, social inclusion and integration of refugees, intercultural education and youth engagement with cultural heritage.

Scouts Andreas Tzekas (Greece), Sofia Savonen (Finland), Marie Louise Ycossie (Ivory Coast), Monica Figueroa (Colombia), Daiana Neil (Argentina), Camila Delgado (El Salvador) and Ahmed Nimer (Sudan) are sharing the positive impact Scouting has created worldwide in discussions and projects with the other participants of the conference. They are also participating in workshops to learn about new ideas and practices for future projects and actions.
