Thai Scouts help preserve World Heritage site

Thai Scouts Promotion Foundation formed the World Heritage Scout Troop to run important activities at the Ayutthaya World Heritage site located at the former capital of Thailand.
The Scout Troop completed the training on Cultural World Heritage Sites by experts from the Fine Arts Department of Thailand on the history and preservation of this important place. The troop plans to plant ancient trees in 30 ancient temples, organize a Scout bicycle patrol to work with tourist police, and to help in the site’s maintenance and cleanliness.
WSB AP Director JR Pangilinan joined the Scouts in planting ancient trees and repair a damaged wooden bridge with Dr Artorn Chandavimol, President of Thai Scouts Promotion Foundation, during the launch of the project “Thai Scouts Protect Ayutthaya, World Heritage” on 15 September 2016.
