The World Scout Seminar on Environmental Education kicks off in the Czech Republic
The World Scout Seminar on Environmental Education is being held at the the Kaprálův mlýn SCENES Centre in Brno, the Czech Republic. Thirty-seven participants representing 25 countries and 10 SCENES centres, four guests, six organising team members and international support staff have gathered to exchange ideas on environmental education, foster new working knowledge for the implementation of the World Scout Environmental Programme (WSEP) and to strengthen the SCENES Centres as well as Environmental Partnerships.
The participants had a great time getting to know each other and exploring the beautiful venue before attending sessions on the Better World Framework and the history of Environmental Education in Scouting. The day ended with the Market Place where participants from National Scout Organisations and SCENES Centres shared about their environmental projects and programmes as well as the initiatives they have taken to promote environmental education.
