The World Scout Bureau Global Support Centre, Geneva is the legal seat of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The office was relocated from Ottawa to Geneva in 1968 and is part of the shared service centre for the global operations of WOSM, supporting the 169 National Scout Organizations (NSOs).
The centre is responsible for legal and risk matters, the archiving of legal and historical documents as well as unique memorabilia and awards, including the first UNESCO Peace Prize which was awarded to WOSM in 1981. It also represents the priorities of World Scouting, working with UN and partner organisations.
