Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Scout Movement – a movement which is volunteer-based and volunteer-led. Since Scouting began, billions of young people from all walks of life have benefited from its non-formal method of education thanks to generations volunteers, Scouts and non-Scouts, who are passionate about creating a better world in their local communities. Selfless and dedicated, these volunteers spend their weekends (and sometimes even weekdays and holidays!) organising and supporting Scouting activities.
Today, there are more than 50 million Scouts worldwide. Our aim is to make Scouting the world’s leading youth movement, empowering 100 million young people to be active citizens. To achieve this, we need more volunteers, people who are willing to join us in developing the full potential of young people, and to help us inspire tomorrow’s global leaders and agents of positive change!
