SCOUT METHOD IS:
-Promise and Law. After preparatory period the new-scouts give an oath to serve the country and keep loyalty to Scout Law.
-Learning by doing. Learning comes as a result of the practical experience and not only from a theoretical explanation. An enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training is provided based on Scout Promise and Law guided by adult Leadership. During the expeditions and jamborees lectures are read on first aid, cartography, history, geography and a variety of contests are organized. Most of the discourses are run by elder scouts. As for the youngest age section the program is mostly based on the fairy tale "Mauglie."
-Scout Groups.Scout activities are realized in Scout groups (patrols and troops). A group of peers provides an ideal framework in which the individual, in association with others, can plan and implement projects, undertake responsibilities, experience relationships, take specific roles, reflect and evaluate with others, receive and provide feedback and learn from the experience. The opinion of peers is particularly influential when a young person has to make choices, particularly those, which are value based (such as drugs).
-Discipline, emblems, and uniform. Scout troop is composed of several patrols. Each patrol has its patrol-leader, and each troop has its troop-leader (Scout master) with its assistants. They are to plan, prepare and lead the troop activities, control the process of keeping Scout Promise and Law. Scouts wear uniforms during scout activities, ceremonies, parades and other solemn occasions. It shows Scout's Organization, title, degree, troop, etc. HASK has its flag, March, emblem, motto, etc. They are honored during Scout ceremonies, like all state emblems.
-Close links with nature. Jamborees, expeditions connect children with nature, train them physically and spiritually. Care for the nature becomes way of life.
THE FRAMEWORK OF ADULTS:
For adults it's an opportunity to help the young people discover the crossroads of mutual understanding (youth-adult relationship). Thanks to Scout movement adults get the relevant experience and preparedness, which becomes the mechanism of their self-development.
