37th Course for Assistant Leader Trainer - For the 1st time conducted in English Language ( Malaysia )

The Scouts Association of Malaysia conducted the 37th Course for Assistant Leader Trainer (CALT) by using English as medium of instruction for the first time after so many years. I as a Volunteer is glad that able to be part of a Organizing Team with the National Training Team contribute to a success event. The planning of this course have kick -off in the Mid of June 2019.

This Course for Assistant Leader Trainer (CALT) was conducted on 17th to 23rd of August at MAHSA International School, Kuala Lumpur. It was an international course with 58 Scout Leaders from Brunei, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Maldives and Singapore. The diversity of the Scout Leaders from different Scouting backgrounds provided opportunities for lively exchanges of views and ideas, further enhancing the participants’ learning.

In addition. there are many Team colloboration involvement and interesting sessions were held, with topics ranging from Adult Learning Principles to Safe from Harm.

On the Day 6 night, as part of the volunter team member with the National Training Team organized an exclusive dinner to celebrate 100 years of WoodBadge. The dinner attended by the Chief Scout Commissioner of Malaysia together with state representatives from all over the country. The night ended with the guests linking arms, singing along to the song they held close to their hearts, Back to Gilwell.

A continuous 7-day course, We believe that all the participants departed with memorable everlasting friendships and newfound skills on their path to becoming Adult Leader Trainers.

Throughout this 3month Planning til the Course day, I as a Volunteer also do learnt many thing from this course.
