The curtain closes on 11th World Scout Youth Forum
After 4 days of sound contribution through inputs, workshops, open forum deliberations and exhibitions, the 11th World Scout Youth Forum concluded on the evening of 6th January and sessions were officially closed when the gong resounded. Participants wrapped up the event with the last session, adopting their recommendations to the 39th World Scout Conference and with the closing ceremony.
The outgoing Youth Advisors were warmly thanked by the Vice-President of the World Scout Committee, Mr Mario Diaz, for their strong contribution during their mandate and successfully delivered Forum. Newly appointed Youth Advisors were invested and the Chairperson of the 12th World Scout Youth Forum, Mr Felipe de Paulo, from Brazil was introduced and delivered his first speech.
Mr Luc Panissod, seized the opportunity to express his privilege for addressing the Forum as Secretary General of WOSM and highlighted Youth Involvement as a fundamental right for everybody guaranteed by the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC), which WOSM also supports. He also extended a wholehearted thank you to the Forum Organizing Committee, the Forum Director, Mr Ricardo Stuber as well as his entire team and to the participants for the hardwork and outcomes of the Forum. The Youth Advisors will act as members of the Planning Committee for the next World Scout Youth Forum and will contribute to the work of the World Scout Committee.
