Being crystal clear
Kandersteg International Scout (KISC) is excited to have launched its refreshed visual identity.
Over the last decade the digital world has been changing and we have been adapting.
We took a big step into a new chapter of the Centre by refreshing its visual identity.
Refreshing means staying true to ourselves with the same Magic, Values and Dream but - with a new look.
Together with the Centre’s rich history and deep Scouting roots, we retain with the logo’s core element the Crystal. The Crystal contains 6 fleurs-de-lis representing all six World Scout Regions united together in one Movement. It also reminds the shape of a snowflake, symbolizing the snowy peaks of Kandersteg.
The refreshed visual identity carries a colour palette, fonts and graphical elements which reflect the Scouting spirit, energy and environment of the World Scout Centre. The refreshed look feels familiar, but the alterations and expansions with fresh elements make it more suitable for the digital era.
We use this opportunity to emphasize the KISC brand values by visualizing the Permanent Mini Jamboree. We proudly represent KISC with an appearance it deserves to inspire more Scouts from all around the World to come and feel the Magic.
As the World Scout Centre, we constantly strive to bring Scouts of the World together and to raise their awareness over sustainability and global issues and to empower those Scouts to create a Better World together. Our new look aims to make KISC current and to carry B.P.s dream into this exciting new chapter.
Whilst the visual identity received a facelift, the KISC website is going through a major reconstruction. Over the last years, we have collected valuable feedback from our Guests, Scout leaders, volunteers and followers and incorporated it into the website development. We proudly launch the new Website on Wednesday, 31st October.
We believe the launch of the refreshed identity and website will mark the beginning of a successful new chapter in the Centre’s development.
